Gordon Kelly | Office Manager
Gordon has worked in the field of accountancy since 1976 and started working at the Shepherd Partnership in 1996.
His responsibilities include cataloguing workflow through the office and looking after his own portfolio of clients. Gordon has extensive experience of working with agricultural clients and small independent traders and today he specialises in this area.
Heather Langtree | Senior Accountant
Heather joined the Shepherd Partnership in 2015. She has worked in the field of accountancy since 1985 and is ACCA qualified. Having had her own business in the past she specialises in sole traders, partnerships and personal tax and brings extensive experience to the firm.
Chris Kendrew | Audit and Corporate Clients Accounts Manager
Chris is part qualified (ACCA) and has been with the Shepherd Partnership since 2003. His main responsibilities include auditing and preparation of statutory accounts for corporate clients, preparation of charity accounts, and undertaking audits under the solicitors' accounts rules.
Gillian Humphrey | Accounts Manager
Gillian is MAAT qualified and holds a Diploma in Business Studies. She has worked for the Shepherd Partnership on and off since 1984.
Gillian has her own portfolio of around 120 clients for whom she prepares accounts and/or tax returns and supports her colleagues with their clients and prepares a handful of VAT returns. She is responsible for the daily backup of data and making sure that programs and systems work correctly.
Lyn Nutton | Accounts Manager
Lyn has worked at the Shepherd Partnership on and off since 1989 and holds a part AAT qualification. Her role in the practice primarily involves preparing accounts, tax returns and VAT returns for agricultural clients.
Lyn has worked in an office environment since she was 16 years old and has amassed diverse bookkeeping and accounts experience during her time with the Shepherd Partnership.
Michael Lonsdale | Accounts Manager
Michael has worked in the field of accountancy since 1978 and joined the Shepherd Partnership in 2004. His role involves the preparation of accounts, the completion of tax returns, and offering general advice and support to clients.
Yvette Naylor – Payroll Manager
Yvette began working at the Shepherd Partnership in 2014 and looks after the in house payroll bureau.
Prior to joining the practice , Yvette worked in a variety of accounts roles for more than 30 years, all of which involved payroll. More recently, she spent eight years managing the payroll bureau at another local accountancy practice. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge for the benefit of both the firm and its clients.
Alyx Bennett | Accounts Trainee
Alyx has worked in the field of accountancy since 2012 and joined the Shepherd Partnership in 2014. Her role involves the preparation of accounts, the completion of tax and VAT returns.
She is currently studying towards her AAT qualification and hopes to progress onto the ACCA qualifications in due course.
Alison Spencer | Administrator
Alison has worked at Shepherd Partnership since 2005. She brings to the role an extensive amount of business and administration experience amassed over a number of years, including working as the owner/manager of her own restaurant and a three-year period with Lloyds Bank.
Today, Alison's role involves supervising reception and the administration/ accounts department and managing the firm’s bank account, suppliers, debtors and debt recovery.
Alan Webb FCA BSc | Consultant
Having been a Partner/ Director with Shepherd Partnership since 1980, Alan now works with the firm as a Consultant. Alan has extensive specialist knowledge of VAT, Capital Gains and Inheritance Tax issues and as a Consultant he continues to bring his many years of valuable experience to the practice.
Paul Hayhoe AAT | Partner, The Hayhoe Webb Partnership
Through The Hayhoe Webb Partnership and in association with the Shepherd Partnership, Paul offers specialist accountancy, taxation, and strategic consultancy to the licensed trade and hospitality industry.
Paul is a fellow of The Association of Accounting Technicians. He has decades of experience in the hospitality industry, many of which was spent as Owner/ Manager of The Reivers Rest Town House Hotel in Langholm. Paul bought the property from receivership in 1990 and sold on as a 4-star hotel in 2004.
