Time is running out for overseas entities to comply with the new Register of Overseas Entities requirements. With the 31 January deadline fast approaching, it’s important to register as soon as possible.
In August 2022, the UK government, together with Companies House, launched a public Register of Overseas Entities. The new rules require overseas entities that own or lease land or property long-term in the UK to register with Companies House. Information needs to be verified before it’s submitted.
HMRC say that the most common question they are asked is how entities can speed up the process, so they have provided their top tips from a team of verification officers.
