1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Self Employment Income Support Grants

For the first two grants your business had to have been adversely affected by coronavirus to qualify, along with other criteria such as having an intention to carry on trading.

In addition to the basic requirements for the first two grants, for the third and subsequent grants you must have experienced reduced activity, capacity or demand or have been temporarily unable to trade in the relevant periods compared with what could reasonably have been expected but for the adverse effect on the business of coronavirus. Additionally you must also have reasonably had to have believed at the time of making the claim that the impact would cause a significant reduction in trading profits for the relevant accounting period, compared with what would otherwise have reasonably been expected as a result of that reduced activity, capacity or demand.

You need notify HMRC within 90 days of receiving the grant if you claimed in error.

We are here to help. If you are unsure, we can discuss the eligibility criteria with you in more detail.
