EU Airbnb landlords will be required to pay VAT on rental income

As part of the EU's 'VAT in the Digital Age' measures, British Landlords who use platforms such as Airbnb or Booking.com to rent out their holiday homes in the EU will be required to pay VAT on their rental income (regardless of whether they live in the same country or outside the EU).


This change will take effect from 2025.
