You may be able to apply for a grant for capital items to improve farm productivity through more efficient use of water for irrigation, and to secure water supplies for crop irrigation.
The grant is available to arable and horticultural businesses growing, or intending to grow, irrigated food crops, ornamentals or forestry nurseries in England.
You must own the land on which you undertake these activities, or you must have a tenancy agreement in place until 5 years after the project will be completed.
The grant is competitive, so the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) will score your application and award a grant to the highest scoring applications.
