Taxi drivers and scrap metal dealers are to meet a tax conditionality test to renew licence

From April 2022, the renewal of licences for taxis and private hire vehicles and those dealing in scrap metal will only be given if the person applying can show they have completed a tax check with HMRC, which will be an online process.
